The real estate market in the Tri-Cities has never been stronger. With the availability of homes still at historic lows, home-sellers have a great opportunity to take advantage of the higher demand. Every metro area in the Tri-Cities – Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol, TN/VA – saw an increase in residential home prices of anywhere from $19,000 to almost $40,000 last month. Most notably, Kingsport, TN, had the biggest increase, with the average residential home selling for $38,638 over April of 2020.
