Welcome to the New Red Door Agency Website

We are proud to announce the launch of our new real estate website! After several years of working with various vendors and service providers, we were able to custom build a real estate website that fully encompasses our motto of “real estate, redefined.” From the start of the process, we wanted a website that was unlike any other in the Tri-Cities region. Most brokerages rely on templated websites that look the same from agency to agency. In fact, our previous website shared the same templated design as several others in the area; this had to change. Our conceptualized design was one that was simple, clean, and easy-to-use, while providing potential buyers and sellers with accurate and up-to-date information they can’t get anywhere else. Fast forward almost two years and the final product is here. In the following, our Director of Marketing and Communications, Vance Kellogg, is going to take us through the major components of our new website and how clients can utilize each facet of the site to their benefit.

Introduction

First thing’s first: getting to know the general layout, design, and features of our new website. Our homepage is one (if not the) most visually appealing real estate website in the Tri-Cities. Right away, you’re greeted by a custom search option that includes quick links to commonly searched terms and community guides. As you scroll down, you’ll come across a custom infographic of the Tri-Cities region. Each of the counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia are represented and allow you to click into a detailed report of the community guides (more on these below). A quick background about Red Door Agency and our client testimonials follow. Below these, you’ll find an integrated social feed where you can view new content, as well as the ability to like and follow us. Lastly, you’ll have the opportunity to view our latest blog content (like this article!) and get contact information for our brokerage.

Community Guides

Hands down, the coolest and most informative page on our website is our community page. From our homepage, you can hover over and click on the interactive infographic, or choose a quick link from the search bar. Want to cut right into the action? Select the “communities” option from our main navigation at the top of the website. Here, you’ll be able to select any of the counties in Tennessee or Virginia. Once you’ve picked an area of interest, you’ll have access to another interactive map. Feel free to switch between hospitals, schools, parks, grocery stores, and more. Below the map, you’ll have a quick snapshot of the local community using census data. This is a great resource for clients who are relocating or those unfamiliar to the area and want to see demographics or recent real estate market data. Following this section are new listings in the selected area, as well as a downloadable market report featuring even more market data. Lastly, we’ve partnered with Yelp! to display local businesses like restaurants, bars, shops, and more. What other website in the Tri-Cities has this?! 

Exclusive Red Door Agency Listings

Our real estate agents are proud of each of their listings. This is why we wanted a website that could showcase their hard work and dedication. Each of our exclusive Red Door Agency listings are created by hand each time a listing goes live. Our exclusive listings feature a cleaner and more informative layout compared to those pulled from the MLS search (more on this below). Each listing features professional photography, floorplans, and even video tours. In addition, we make the features and amenities of each listing more manageable by putting key information into six main categories: Property Style, Interior Features, Exterior Features, Square Footage Breakdown, Utilities, and Terms. This way, if you’re only looking for tax information or financing, you don’t have to sift through lines and lines of information. You’ll also have access to open house information and 3D virtual walkthroughs via Matterport. Unlike the MLS, which doesn’t support previously sold listings, our website is able to display our previously sold exclusive listings – good luck finding another brokerage in the Tri-Cities that does this!

Searching the MLS doesn’t have to be hard. Our website takes the pain out of finding your dream home. While our website will never ask you to sign-up for an account, we highly recommend that you do in order to take advantage of all of the features and benefits. On the main page, you’ll be able to search using various filters such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, and price. Those looking for a more granular search will be able to narrow down based on property type and property characteristics such as master on main, pool, and more. Once you’ve placed all of your search criteria, you can save the search and have our website send you a daily update of homes available on the market. How cool!

About the Author

Vance moved back to the Tri-Cities from Nashville, TN in 2020 where he worked in sales development for a Silicon Valley technology start-up. Before this, Vance worked in retail management for over ten years.

While Vance has lived all over the country, he attended East Tennessee State University for his undergraduate degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and with special honors from the College of Business and Technology. Vance went on to pursue his Masters in Digital Marketing from ETSU while working for Target as a store manager in the Knoxville/Chattanooga/Nashville markets.

In his spare time, Vance enjoys traveling (12 countries and counting!), and loves spending time outdoors with his dog, Miles, hiking, biking, kayaking, and camping. He is also an avid motorcyclist and loves spending the weekends riding through the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky mountains.

With his background in sales and customer success, Vance is determined to redefine the customer journey of home buying and selling to ensure that Red Door and its agents are the region's destination for real estate.
