Robert Banks is a Kingsport local, people person, negotiation nerd, and your soon-to-be favorite real estate agent.

Robert has spent over 40 years in Northeast Tennessee, so he knows the area like the back of his hand. A Dobyns-Bennett graduate and licensed Tennessee REALTOR®, he jumped into real estate because he genuinely loves helping people find the place where their story really begins. Every day in the field brings new experiences, new memories, and new chances to help someone take a big step toward homeownership and Robert thrives on it.

He’s gained skills from years of real estate work (including time with Century 21), plus a background in retail and manufacturing. Add in his professional designations: At Home With Diversity (AHWD), C2EX (Commitment to Excellence), and Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) and you’ve got someone who can negotiate, navigate, and celebrate every step of your real estate journey.

Robert is married to April Banks, the VP of Finance at Intellihartx Inc., and together they lead a full and energetic household of six kids: four have grauated high school, one in high school, and one taking on kindergarten a champ. When he’s not talking houses, Robert is coaching youth sports, volunteering, exploring the outdoors, diving into history, or going on family adventures.

National Association of REALTORS® Official Certification - At Home With Diversity®

At Home with Diversity® (AHWD) is a NAR certification program designed to present a picture of the changing face of the real estate industry. Since 1998, the At Home With Diversity® program has prepared over 20,000 REALTORS® to work effectively with and within today's increasingly diverse pool of homebuyers.

The At Home with Diversity® course is a 6-to-7 hour class that can be taken online or in person and addresses the topics of diversity, fair housing, and business planning development. After successfully completing the course, REALTORS® are eligible to apply for the official AHWD certification, which conveys to clients they're working with a dynamic real estate professional with expertise that transcends cultural barriers.

Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) from the National Association of REALTORS® empowers REALTORS® to evaluate, enhance and showcase their highest levels of professionalism. It's not a course, class or designation—it's an Endorsement that REALTORS® can promote when serving clients and other REALTORS®.

National Association of REALTORS® Designation - (RENE) Real Estate Negotiation Expert

The Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) certification is for real estate professionals who want to sharpen their negotiation skills. The RENE certification program gives REALTORS® the tips and tools they need to be skillful advocates for their clients.
